Training at the Brikhouse is sweaty and challenging, but fun at the same time! All of your coaches take their time to patiently teach you and gently push you to reach your goals. Lastly, we're passionate about our community of Portsmouth. More than punching and kicking, we're building community "Brick-by Brik."

Boxing
 

A sport that involves strategically punching an opponent, while defending yourself from the return punches.  Most practice boxing as a way to stay in shape.

MMA Competition Training
 

Refine your MMA skills in our professionally coached class, blending wrestling, striking, conditioning, and ground-and-pound techniques. Led by experienced instructors, our sessions offer comprehensive training to enhance your abilities and confidence in the octagon.

African Martial Arts

Ijakadi African Martial Arts is a modern martial art purposed for liberation and reality-based self-defense. A blend of the African arts of 52 Blocks, Musangwe, and Capoeira, Ijakadi is essentially MMA for self-defense and includes everything from kicking, punching, knees and elbows to grappling, ground fighting, and weapons. 

Jiu Jitsu
 

An Urban Jiu Jitsu class focused on ground fighting from a reality-based perspective. Jiu Jitsu is a form of martial arts and a method of fighting that makes use of few or no weapons and employs holds throws and paralyzing blows.  Manipulate your opponent's force against them, rather than confronting it with one’s own force.

Functional Fitness

Equipped with our own weight training gym, our clients will have access to weight training, resistance training with physical activities designed to improve muscular strength and fitness by exercising specific muscles or muscle groups against resistance.

Wrestling
 

A sport practiced in various styles by two competitors, involving forcing an opponent to touch the ground with some part of the body other than his feet; forcing them into a certain position, usually supine (on there back); or holding them in that position for a minimum length of time.

Sparring Lab
 

Step into the ring and challenge yourself with Brikhouse Boxing's Non-Member Sparring Lab. This open gym is perfect for those who want to focus solely on sparring and improve their boxing skills. You don't need to be a member to join - just bring your gloves and get ready for some intense training. Sharpen your technique, build your endurance, and gain confidence with Brikhouse Boxing's Non-Member Sparring Lab.  Only on Friday's

Yoga & H.I.I.T.
 

Interval, training, exercise, incorporate several rounds that all alternate between several minutes of high intensity movements to specifically increase the heart rate, followed by short periods of lower intensity movement.
